broken door lock

My drivers window got smashed in about two weeks. Luckily i was going to the body shop the next day to fix some previous damage. Well every since my door just wont lock, I push the button in and it wont go all the way. Could anyone explain why?

try taking the door panel apart. most likely it wasn't put back together properly or something back there is jamming the lock mechanism

yeap what he said i took my panel off once and didn't get it back to gather right and it was stoping the lock from going all the way
