    Brake master cylinder

I just changed all pads and shoe less then 3 month ago but I have to step on brake to the floor to stop the car...it has over 100,000 milage on it and I am guessing it is time to change the brake master cylinder.

Does anyone knows where I could get a master cylinder for a decent price?

    Try replacing the brake fluid
Brake Fluid does go off after a while
Maybe you have a air lock in the system ???

    Before going crazy:

    1) bleed all lines. start from the right rear, front left, front right, rear left

    2) make sure that there is brake fluid at all times on the reservoir do not let it get low.

3)check the hose that connects the booster by the driver side to the engine, they brake and also develop cracks that let air in.

    4) adjust the emergency brake.

    Hope it helps.

You need a second person for this to press the brake while you bleed the line. DO Not attemtp to do it by yourself, it does not work.
    Been there done that.

Do you know how to diagnose the master cylinder if it is going bad? (8g)

I have 2 piston calipers and even switched it out with my brembo calipers/rotors straight from my (9G) and still my braking power feels week.

I replaced the fluid and bled like a hundred times but its still week.

Could there be something with the ABS unit that I need to know about?

you need to press on the brakes at like 25% down before you feel something.

If it has drum brakes in the rear like mine does check the wheel cylinders by pulling back the rubber ends and check for brake fluid they are common leaks
