Which Jet Chip for me? Whats the difference? Is it worth it?

I've been pretty sick of the galant lately, being all slow (drive a 7G) and sluggish. Sick of getting owned by civics and accords. I was at the Jet chip website. What's the difference between the computer upgrade and the V-Force? There's obviously a huge price difference, and are the gains really noticeable on either. What exactly does it do? Which would be the best? I dont' wanna run the engine rich and blow something, cause then i'd be on the bicycle forums looking for upgrades. Thanks ahead for any input.

The Jet chip is a replacement chip for your PCM. It changes the ignition and fuel curve maps of the car. It's programmed based on the mods you have. You take out your PCM, send it to them, they upgrade it, send it back and you re-install it. TOC had one and wasn't overly impresssed.

The V-force is a standalone box that supposedly does the same thing as the chip. I suspect it's an unsophisticated AFC. you will have to wire it in to your PCM. Apparantly you can turn it on and off and do some adjustment. I can't find any reviews of it anywhere or anymore details.

    Jet V-chip

I have had a USED V-chip on my '01 2.4 ES for several months now. I had to contact JET for a wiring diagram. I really wasn't that har to wire. My mods are only a CAI and performance muffler.
You really feel the difference at wide open throttle. It seems to keep it in gear longer and advances the ignition curve.
By the way, I bought mine on Ebay for about $30. The only thing wrong with it is one of the LED lights do not light up.

ive had the V-FORCE for a while and was skeptical at first when i installed it, but then slowly started noticing gains from it, then i turned it off for a good two months and i definitely noticed my car being far more sluggish than usual, it pissed me off, than i turned it back on and got tha punch back, so i defintely see gains out of this mod. its not a 20 hp miracle mod, but the improvements are noticeable, in the departments of acceleration, and going from gear to gear you seem to get a little more punch especially in 1st to 2nd.
