    Chrome Gauge Covers

Hey guys. I saw this on ebay

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...3&category=6773

it looks interesting, I am wondering how it will look with the reverse glows. Do you know if it will fit the 96-98 gauge clusters? I remember people saying that the 94-95 gauge clusters were caved in sort of and the 96-98 were flat. It looks like the 96-98 gauges to me, just want to get some feedback before I get one.

yeah, on my 94 galant the gauges are caved in (making it a BITCH to put the reverse EL gauges on) but this is just a chrome faceplate, it doesn't affect the gauges at all. It'll work on any 7G galant. If they made a carbon fiber one I'd get it.

Heres my homemade ones....this is what i did....remove the cluster like you would to install indiglos, then remove the clear plastic from the black overlay( that looks likke the chrome one) that covers the gauges. But its kinda tricky...there is more than just clips holding it , it is also glued....but it is not hard. You have to get like a screwdriver and pry it open. Then place the overlay and put back together.

My website is devoted to taking the cheap way out lol

I was discusing the idea of a timing chain made from junkyard bicycle sprokets and chain. Then no more worries of busting a belt! Total cost $25 bucks. I'll need a doner engine though anyone interested?! lol
