Key programming

I have an extra key thats already cut i just need to program it....does ne1 know how? ive done it on other cars where you have to start the car with the one thats already programed then you have to shut it off pull it out and put the new one in within like a second or two and turn it to ignition then back off and then start...i would try this but i dont wanna mess up the programing on they key and mitsu wants 50 bux just to program it.....thanx for any input

ok my only question to this is it says u need two keys to program a new one but i only have ONE.....will the programming still work ?

If it says you need two keys, then you need two keys. Get it programmed at the dealer, then when you have two programmed keys, you'll be able to program additional keys on your own
