Wiring pins for auto to manual...

I was looking at the tutorial for the swap, and it said short out pins 9 and 10 to start the car, and short out 7 and 8 to have the reverse lights? How do you know what pins are what? and how do u short them out lol? may be its me, i think i'm tired...

Easy way is to find the two wires going to the reverse switch on the transmission... from there, you can determine which pins are which based on the number of pins to the left or right. That's how I figured it out. Short out, in this case, just means to connect together.
