i cant help u much but if u r stock then those spark plugs are good as far as i know and i dont think they make any aftermarket rotor or distributor cap
i just got these in the mail today and went out and got some plugs, distrubitor cap, and a rotor from Auto Zone. Is this all that i need for a tune up? Also will the stock distrubitor cap and rotor be good enough for the wires? do they even make aftermarket rotors, caps, or coils for the Galant?? are these plugs any good? any1 got some tips on this subject?? this is my first time changeing the wires on my car. is there anything i need to be aware of????

I hope your reason for purchasing Magnecore was not the 1-3 HP gain said in the ad lol....
There was a review a while back about stock wires are more efficient than other aftermarket wires. There was a top 10 list putting the stock wires on top, NGK on either 2nd or 3rd, Magnecore placed in the middle, and Nology was in bottom.

This is the reason I myself would not go with Magnecore. The stock cap and rotor is good enough. Doing the plugs is not a huge deal, it's just time consuming the first time. The tutorial on this board is plenty good. My only advice is to check your valve covers for leaks before you do it. They tend to leak after some good amount of miles, and this would be a great time to replace those gaskets.MSD Ignition 8.5mm Super Conductor (40-50 ohms/ft)

okay so wait!! did i make a bad investment???? these wires cost me $150. i only got the wires cause i knew it was time for a tune up. and i figured if i was gonna get some new wires, why not get the aftermarket?? i havent done any other modifications other then an open air filter. and i just got it back from the shop. i had the tranny and the coolant fuild flushed, and had the fuel injection system cleaned. and i figured i'd do the plugs myself. im still gonna put the wires in, but should i be worried about anything??? and how long do did wires usally last for??

usually I was told you don't have to replace the wires until they go bad. Is this your first tune-up? (60k 0r 100K).
Is yours a V6 or Inline 4? If its the 4cyclinder it should not take you more than an hour unless if you never done it before. It may take you longer. For a V6 it will take longer because its harder to get to for the plugs on the fire wall side.
* tip: be sure NOT to pull all the wires out at once or you may forget the order they go in, so pull them out one by one when you change the plugs.
Meh, don't worry about it, plenty of people are happy with their magnecores. But there are other aftermarket wires out there. Wires in general should last at least another 60K along with your plugs.
id say ask Warm/TJ but he dont come here anymore, he did everything, lol, im pretty sure he said the stock distubuter is better, if i recall and the aftermarket ones somehting was closer and it arked way easyer

well i just got done. the intake plenum was the hardest. it took me like 2 hours just to get it off. then it was just putting it all make togetter. i lost one small screw and twisted another one off but it should be fine untill i get someone to fix it. oh and i changed the gaskets for the front vavle cover, i didnt do the back cause it wasnt leaking anywere and plus i coundnt figure out how to take it off without removing anyother parts. after i was done and went to start it up it wouldnt. i found out the battery died. i think it was from having it unpluged for so long while i was doing the work. but i knew it was close to the time to get a new one anyways. so i went to batteries plus and picked up a yellow optima. i figured if i was gonna get a new battery why not get the good one. but i hate the way it looks with the old clamps and wire clips. does any1 know how i can secure it better and what kinda aftermartket wires and clips i can get???????

yea i just did my wires, to it is kinda a pain to get the damn thing off, i twisted off a bolt also...
Good choice on the optima, no more shtty leaky batteries. I myself would just clean that terminal connector with a wire brush and baking soda. Strip the the battery tie and repaint it. And replace the boot that supposed to be on your positive terminal. Small things, inexpensive, yet it will look better.
Hmm. I'm really curious to whether or not I should attempt to do this myself. I don't know shit about cars. But I want to beable to do work on my own G. I'm planning to have my buddy help me who pushes a wrx and does tons of mods to his car. So we'll see how it goes I guess. Do I need anything else special besides the torque wrench and plugs of course? I like the red wires toeknee02!
youll need PATIENCE!!!! oh and also a good memory of how to put all it back together, or draw up a diagram, which is what i shouldve did. and if you gonna do it outside, back sure your gonna have enough sunlight. also make sure you block off the lower intake manifold with a clean rag or something once you get it off. you dont want anything to get in there. get some more coolant too to be on the safe side. when you pull the hoses off the plemun, it kinda drains it. now that i did it im more confident that i can do it again. the hardest part was just getting the plemun off. after that its all down hill. and use that torque wrech everywere. youll need it for almost everything you have to tighten up if you want to do it correctly. and if you are looking for the torque specs, pick up one of those Haynes Repair Manuals. they got a list on the whole engine. good luck dude. and remember its not that hard.

You can get wires at any autostore, the boot you can get from the dealer or junkyard.
? There's no coolant going into the plenum. There is a line going to the TB and back, but you don't even need to disconnect those.
