    second trans in 98G

hey guys just want to say I was previewing this site before registering and its awsome.
now for the prob, Back a year ago my original trans went out at 80k Now a year ago today the trans is doing the same thing it did before, The new trans that was put in had 40k the car now has 104k it shifts fine when cold but once its hot or the a/c is on it shifts like a totally different animal first to second when its hot shifts hard when I come up to a stop with a slow roll and step on the gas about a 1/4in or more if it step on it alittle it stays in second and im off. I put some lucas trans fluid in it about three months ago along with a trans fluid change about 2months before that. My friends uncle does transmissions for a living after 30years and said it probly just needs to be readjusted, also he said there very strong transmissions its just that overdrive goes out before anything else.
sometimes if I have to get onto the highway it shifts into 3rd it sounds like it slips into it. any help would be apprciated thanks guys

    thats correct.

I just went with a bigger tranny cooler, and I have to say it does get really hot. youll have way better shiftin when the fluid is cooler cuz the pump inside your tranny will be working better.

Also try changing the trans fluid, I work with a Master ASE mechanic and he always changes his every 30k miles.
