asking about my gas consumed

I was driving with a lead foot all last week, and on top of that, my engine was 1.5 quarts low on oil. I got a whopping 18mpg.

That doesn't sound right to me...more gas = more weight = less mpg.

more gas = less gas lost to evaporation
= more gas that doensnt pick up contaminets

do fuel injectors have needles that can be adjust so that the flow of air intake is controlled??like that in motorcycles
