Interesting wide fender idea from JDM land

    http://minkara.carview.co.jp/userid/...9178/note.aspx

this guy went to install 3000GT brakes, and that requires +30 offset wheels instead of the usual +42 - +38 stuff. ends up the fender won't cover the wheel....

and what he did, is that he cut a section out of the 8G very obvious wider arch and welded it to the fender on a 7G.

the outcome is quite awesome. :)

Not too bad.... but it doesn't really flow that nicely..... and you'd have to flare out the rear to match it properly.

I prefer flares tho. he probably used spacers, otherwise IDK how it can be done w/o them

flares will destroy the whole sleeper look of the 7G IMO.....

coz even with carbon fiber hood the way a 7G looks don't suggest anything like 240bhp AWD ready to eat your WRX performance...

    flares would.

This Mirage looks pretty damn good with flares, of course no need of graphics

That's coz you are going for the EVO5 look.....

7G can't go for a "evo what" look because the high performance version looks exactly like the lower performance version - exactly what makes it a sleeper.

analogous to the 2000 M5 is a sleeper but a 2004 M3 isn't. Therefore the idea of flaring a Galant is same as to flare an M5....sacrilegious!

You could make the evo 5/6 one work.... similar to the one in japan, but by molding the curve of the guard out.... basically make it look much more pumped...

I remember that Mirage, if the 5G Mirage had cheaper engine options I would have gotten one. Did you find a Mirage mko ?
