    Coolant Reservoir

Hey real quick question guys. For some reason I noticed a hose coming out of the coolant reservoir isnt connected to anything. It comes out of the top and just sits in the engine bay, its bone dry, car isn't overheating or anything. Its been like this since the day i bought it. Is it just a vent?

the reservoir should have fluid in it. there should be a hose going in from the radiator, and then one going out to wherever just incase the reservoir (or in my case, the propel bottle) gets full.

Its the overflow hose.. In case of, you guessed it, an overflow..

I figured that's what it was, just double checking though.

More than just overflow, if you overfill and subsequently over pressurize the system, you won't spin a main bearing and destroy the engine.

And your engine mounts won't break.
