    Tune Up Confusion...

    I just bought a whole Tune up kit for my 8th Gen GTZ...

    Plugs - Wires - Distrib. Cap - & Rotor...

    Then I realized that I don't know what the hell I'm doing!!!

    Can someone help me out?:smt105

    Go to your nearest auto parts store and purchase either a Haynes or Chilton manual for your car. It will show you detailed pictures on how to install and remove everything.

    To do plugs and wires on the V6, you need to take off the intake. Its just a bunch of bolts. Just remember where they go. Once you take it off to get to the back 3 plugs, you might as well purchase an intake plenum gasket and replace that.

    The distributor cap and rotor sit straight below the intake throttle body.

    Its a long process, but its not difficult. You just have to take alot of stuff off to do plugs and wires.

    If you post stupid and incorrect information, you will get red nuggets.

    Wow...

    Thanks a lot guys, Great information I needed it.

    The car shakes everytime I stop at a red light and I'm thinking new plugs might do the trick

    What's the "intake plenum gasket" for?

    its for the intake plenum which you have to take off to get to the rear spark plugs.
