    Smoke

    Oh well i was listening to music on my car while eating ice cream w/ my daughter yesterday at a parking lot when I suddenly noticed something smelled burning. Then smoke came from my side of the door. I immediately turned off the radio, drove home and removed the door panel. And to my suprise my 6 1/2 Boston pro speaker was toasted. The weird thing was the volume was only 10.

    I might just pick up and install Pioneer 720PRS component speaker.

    What was the wattage rated at and at what ohm? Thats a little freaky.

    The PRO's rated 125rms 250 peak @ 4 ohms. I'm running them at 4 ohm load using JL 300/2 which gives them 150 watts in each channel..

    Changed my mind and bought the JL XR's 6 1/2" components.. gotta love for old school..

    was there any moisture in the door? that could be one of the big culprits
