im not sure about the tranny ?, but im not sure what you mean by "play", you mean how our shifter patterns are so big? well that can be reduced with a shortshifter if thats what you mean. OBX sells one, and Arospeed.both reduce 35%~40%, but arospeed's is $90 cheaper, OBX is $180, Arospeed's is $90.

Not sure if the tranny will bolt to the 3g63T but something tells me that it's unlikely. (Where the hell is Craig?)

Anyway, the play in your shifter is the rubber bushings on the shifter plate or something. Here's how to tighten that right up:

This is from the DSM guys, but the basics and even the kit should apply to your 7G.

the 7g galant manual tranny will bolt up to the 4g63T block, i have my original tranny with my 4g63T. you can get that symborski kit to help tighten the shifter, the washers in it go over and under your shift plate, and the "rod" replaces another rod just like it in the shifter assembly. the first thing, "stiff shift kit 95-99" on http://www.extrememotorsports.com/g2cat/transaxl.htm will also help, it replaces plastic parts on the transmission that the cables are mounted to. there is also this last kit http://www.speed-source.net/shifterbuymitsu.htm which replaces the rubber/plastic bushings from the cable ends. these 3 shift kits are all i know about to stiffen the shift system. they all have good reviews, but i personally have only installed the symborski kit to this point along with a b&m short throw shifter, and i like it, but would like to get the other kits as well. the b&m short throw shifter is the best one available, btw.

 thanks for that but I bought the polyurethane bushings already. By the way which axles do we use ours or eclipse and wiring harness

not 100% sure which axles you would use if you use an eclipse tranny, but if you're using the stock tranny, you can use the stock axles also. use the eclipse engine wiring harness for the year ecu you have
