    Brake light in gauge cluster

My parking brake light stays on when i drive. The parking brake is not pulled (i'm not that dump). I pull it when i park and it goes on, but this morning it didn't go off. Does this mean i need new brakes?

    1) the parking brake

    3) a loss of hydraulic balance (which you would feel right away, as you would lose half of the brake system).
check the reservoir. its the most likely candidate.
