    putting heat resistant stuff around a cai?

    i know that metal isnt great for stayn cool so can u put somthing around it to keep it cool?

    That's what people do. Sometimes they put header wrap around it, anything to insulate it against engine heat.

    another idea is to cover the outside of the intake pipe with some high temperature paint. the high temperature engine enamel has ceramic in it. kinda like a coffee mug.

    uhm another idea is to put a heat shield or deflector in your engine bay where the cai goes close to the headers (if you don't have a shield there already)
