Does the V6 Galant have a AT fluid cooler?

I'm in the market for a used V6 sedan, 90k-115k miles.

I'm looking at '00-'02 Maxima's, V6 Galant's (8G) or a '01-'04 V6 Sonata's.

Anyways I was doing some reading on the 5th Gen Maxima and found out those cars have separate AT fluid coolers (I'm pretty sure this is in addition to the AT fluid going through the radiator).

So my question is do Galants have a separate, additional radiator for AT fluid? I ask because if not that's one of the first mods I will make to the car, and if it already has it, it would save me a bunch of hassle and worry.

Honestly it is pretty much a copper pipe that runs under the radiator - adding an inline cooler wouldn't hurt.

thats not what they are talking about. you are correct that the loop visible from the outside of the car in front of the radiator is the power steering cooling loop, but inside the radiator on the bottom there is an AT cooler

Any automatic transmission will benefit from an external fluid cooler with or w/o a cooling fan attached. There are a number of coolers available through Summit, or some really nice units with a cooling fan through Derale.

For the average daily driver that isn't modified or heavily driven (as most of us do lol), the need for an external cooler is not as necessary.
