    lowering suggestions...

    So i'm going to lower my car, but here is the thing... I like where the rear is at for stock height, so i want to match the distance on the front to the rear. I was thinking about adjustable springs, but i don't want it to bouncy...... I was thinking to go with Tein s- tech with KYB agx, but will it keep the rear stock height?

    if u install the lowering springs in the rear, then it will lower the rear.

    i have a set of adjustable springs on my ride and things aren't bouncy at all.

    but then again, i don't have crappy springs, and i actually have shocks and struts made to go on lowered cars.

    If you only lower your front, your spring rates will not match, and your car will not handle great, I would suggest coilovers, then you have complete control over height front and rear.

    I would suggest the KYB / Tein setup you mentioned if this is gonna be your daily driver and you want to maintain a great ride quality and lower your car. With lower springs the front springs are made to be lower 0.5" more than the rear. So your stance will remain similar to stock but just lower. But to also get rid of that ugly 4x4 gap in the front. While giving you better handling.

    If you want more handling capabilities and greater adjustment options and are willing to sacrifice ride quality than I would suggest the adjustable coilovers setup, (i.e. Megans or Teins). This would also be great if your car was just a weekend driver. You just have to weigh your options and decide what you want out of your suspension. That's my opinion hope it helps.

    I would get coilovers. Megan, Tein, D2, Ksport are all nice setups and very equal in performance.

    i have the tein s tech with gr2 and im loving it very lil bouncy back will only drop 1 inch and the front 1.75 wich will make the back n front even u will like it trust me

    Based on some of the guy's suggestions on TGC, I went with KYB Gr2s with the v6 Galant Eibach Pro lowering kit. I found a nice even drop all round, the back is hardly noticeable and the front is even with the back now. If you have 17"s it'll look even better than it looks with my 16"s. I bought the struts + shocks from Tirerack and the springs from eBay.

    If you want the rear to be close to stock with a little more spice to it, go with KYB gr-2 for about 224 all 4 or KYB agx for more sporty ride, for about 420 for all 4 and then match it up with Tein S-Techs. I loved that drop and the ride was great and I had 19s too, with 17 or 18 inch wheels, will probably ride even better. Here was my 02 with KYB AGX & Tein S-Tech and 19s.

    Thats excactly what i'm looking for, something lowered but not to ricey...

    You can acheive that with coilovers for a little more, and have adjustability too.



    It was a little lower than it actually rides at in that picture. I had the 100lbs of old suspension in the trunk. But it sits just like Ray's setup was, and has fully adjustable camber in front, and full dampening adjustability front and rear.

    so the KYB AGX does it come in a model for our cars? or is it the 3g eclipse...

    You have to get them for 2000 to 2005 Eclipse, I4 or V6.

    Dropped mine with H&R's and KYB AGX's and thats perfect for me. I KNOW I KNOW JIMMY! Gotta post pics of the G LOL

    If you want the mildest rear drop, get eibach pro kit, and they are definately the smoothest riding springs, I've ridden on eibach, tein, and megan, and it's by far the smoothest, I have eibachs on my car with AGX set @ 3, and it's smoother than stock 95% of the time.

    I'm looking to go with the kyb agx n tein s-tech setup on my 8g i4, did ur tires rub or anything? I have 17's with 215/45 tires.
