    880 Xenon HID Fog

Will I have any issues if I install a 3000K 880 55W Xenon HID Fog Bulb in my OEM fog light housings? I think the OEM wattage is 35W and wanted to be sure 55W for fogs would be ok.

Well That is alot of heat for a fog light, and those would be some super bright fogs, I think you could save a few and just settle with the 35w and as far as i know the 880 bulb is interchangeable with the 893 in the stock 8g Fog lamp

One of my Silver Stars burnt out (waste of money) so I bought these cheap. I paid no attention to the wattage, installed them, and then on the box notice they were 55W. They are bright and not as yellow as I would like. I am gonna get some new bulbs but wanted to make sure I wasn't going to have any overheating issues if I use them in the mean time.

Im pretty sure you will melt the housing if you drive more then like 15 mins with them on the plastic is mad cheap. If you want to keep them I would get some projectors and some more yellow bulbs and call it a day. Look around ebay you may find some projectors to retrofit.

Yeah...I am about to do a lighting overhaul on my entire car. I've gotta do some more research to decide what I want to do.

I am trying to decide between going with JDM heads or USDM projectors. Eventually I am gonna do a JDM old style conversion so that will play into my decision but from what I understand I can keep the USDM heads with the JDM bumper.

As long as you have USDM grill I believe the JDM heads are longer so grill must be changed.

Been driving with 3k 35w hid's in my oem fogs for 2 years, never had an issue. Just recently swapped them out for projectors. 35w was bright enough, 55w would just be overkill.

Also if your going with a jdm front end then just get jdm heads as well. I've had these projectors since they were introduced and im tired of looking at them lol, but thats just me. I think JDM heads look better.

Yea it fit just fine after I drilled, and dremeled the fog light housing. Wasn't just a plug and play situation.

yeah I didnt expect it to be, but I want some fog projectors without the angel eyes or if I get angel eyes I dont want the blue ones they all come with I want LED changeable ones.

what bulbs did they use? I am looking at toyota solara ones and I think after being dremeled they will fit nice, but they are D4S bulbs.

I picked up some H11 projectors they should be here either today or tomorrow. If I like how they look I may be ordering some 3000K 35w Hids for them. For now I have all the wiring and 3000K halogens for them to see what they look like.

They are off an mdx and Ill let you guys know how they fit and post pics so yo can judge how they look.

Follow my build thread next week and Ill surely have some pics up.
