No trying to start anything here but HE can't be turbo, he's human. Now HIS car can be. On more thing, "two of my good friends ARE, (more then one) Puerto Rican.
People don't listen and they learn by ignoring all warnings, doing the dumb crap anyway, then agree after they wasted money. Let him see that it's a waste, why waste so much space on this? It's his money, his car.
A cut out is only going to hinder your performance, you are not turbo and therefore need back pressure to help clear exhaust fumes out of the combustion chamber. You want a really fast car sell your Galant to someone who will listen to us and do it right go buy yourself a civic and join their forums they love cut outs.
Funniest post i have seen so far!!!!!!! Lmao
this is probably the best named thread on here
I expected the Rocky Mountains to be a little rockier than this.
So basically u cnt make a 4g64 engine significantly faster unless you get a 5 speed swap, evo engine, or fi right?
whats the most horsepower you think you can get from this engine if you do a good bolt on job? just an approximate guess thats all...
rd w.e il ask an expert
if when you say bolt on you mean external engine parts: then the only SOLO bolt on that will significantly increase your speed is a 5speed swap. Adding a turbo or Supercharger will stil require additional mods to support them properly....engine internals, full exhuast, cam gears, pulleys, inter coolers(that means loseing your ac), etc etc etc.....
the 5 speed isnt exactly a bolt on affiar there is some drilling but its just drilling out the template thats there, engine internals arent needed for under 15 psi, intercoolers does not mean lsoing your AC not sure where you got that from, if you are refering to the AC lines infront of the radiator having to be take off they can be relocated or left in place.
Drilling out the firewall to put in the clutch and cables isnt exactly an extreme to cancel out the swap being a Direct Bolt on
I didnt say that internals were needed to go turbo/supercharge i said they were needed to support them properly, i wasnt trying to break down all the different stages of going Turbo/Supercharger. More Importantly i was reffering to the fact that going Turbo/supercharge is a Bolton but it requires additional addon support to work properly as with the 5speed swap you just need the parts for the 5 Speed swap.
EXAMPLE: You can run a turbo with stock headers/cats and no Intercooler-but youll fuck up your engine and turbo-so thats not a Good Bolt on Job like he was asking for.
So after all that. If you want a good solo bolton job that requires no tools other than a socket wrench we dont have one. A 5speed swap is the least Complicated and Purely solo swap that adds power/speed. Turbo/superchargers add Power / Speed but not installing other parts to support them will wind up screwing up your car and auto tranny the higher the stage you go.
