Just out of experiencing the same symptons, I will have to say that your Spark plugs are bad. I replaced mine and no more cold start sputtering after that. I am most certain that is the problem
latley i have to crank my g a few times for it to start. it stutters for a bit like if it about to die but then it runs fine after that. i've changed the spark plugs and cleaned the tb so far. Also, i noticed a crack in the coilpack boot. could this cause p0300 or p0304 code?
the book says to check the things below, but since it gets worse in cold weather, what would be a more likly cause?
A code P0300 may mean that one or more of the following has happened:
•Faulty spark plugs or wires
•Faulty coil (pack)
•Faulty oxygen sensor(s)
•Faulty fuel injector(s)
•Burned exhaust valve
•Faulty catalytic converter(s)
•Stuck/blocked EGR valve / passages
•Faulty camshaft position sensor
•Defective computer

thats the first thing i changed.
i just measured the resistance on the fuel injectors and they all measure 14.5 within the 13-16 ohms spec. Also, if i prime the fuel pump for a few seconds before i start the car it makes no difference, so i guess that rules out the fuel pump? im not sure tho, any other ideas on what it could be?
is this what i need to replace the cracked boot?

I had the same codes, I changed the plugs, wires and coil packs and it runs like a new car now. no lights no codes.

As for the cold startup issue i had the same issue. I believe i got rid of it by replacing the temperature sensor. The temp sensor talks back to the ecu saying if its cold or not. Fuel doesnt mix well with cold air so when the ecu knows the engine is cold it dumps extra fuel to compensate for the fuel and air not mixing good.. I read that in a book and it made a shit load of sense. I never had the problem in the summer time. Only when it was cold..
cool, so far i replaced the plugs and the two wire/boots, so i guess tomorrow im gonna check the two coil packs with the multimeter. and the coolant temp sensor it worth a shot too.
do you guys know where i can pick up a sensor in person for a good price?
i found this online but the price ranges from $8 - $53 so i dunno what the difference is. how much should it cost???
