the only way i see is to cut that tower off a junk car and then weld it to yours
I have a 1995 Galant and my front passenger upper control arm bolt has pulled thru the body mounting location closest to the firewall due to rust. Is there a fix for this?
thanks

what he said .....
First off...how bad is the overall rust on the undercarriage of the car?
If you have severe rust issues infected on majority of your undercarriage...I would seriously consider if repairing it is worth it rather than just parting ways with the car.
If I am picturing what you say the damage is..then like what Mko stated, you will have to cut the upper strut apron out and reweld a new one.
I hope you can fix the issue though.

That sounds like a shit load of rust to be able to do that..
started a thread but moved it here now...
ive noticed a hole in my wheel well passenger side. its in the hump where the front bolt for the upper control arm goes through, its mostly rotted and i can see the sleeve surrounding the bolt inside and theres a crack going to the body.
If i jack the car up i can move the arm a little tiny bit (you can see it moving at the crack)
anyone else have this problem and know how to fix it besides welding. I've since covered the area with rubberized undercoating but I'm scared to drive anywhere fearing the wheel might come off. I've heard this happening to eclipses but couldnt find anything on these forums.
I thought of drilling some hles and try to strap whats left to a solid part of the body but im not sure that will hold.
what you guys think? I'll try to get some pics later.
edit pics
also should mention its been on longs trips through snow :D
and top of strut is worrying rust
rest of car isnt too bad
