btw head has been milled if that changes anything
i have a graphite headgasket....is it worth a damn is my question...if not which one is?
I think nobody is answering your question because they dont understand it. Your just saying what material your gasket is made of. Is it OEM? Or is it from the corner auto parts store? Most stock POS headgaskets on non-turbo cars are made of graphite or some other type of composite material. If your just rebuilding a stock engine, yes it will be fine, since its the same material as the OEM gasket. OEM gaskets are always recommended over aftermarket/generic parts.

kool thanks for the response...i'm not to clear on the OEM term but it's not from the corner auto store......i just wanna make sure when i put this gasket on it won't fail unless it extremely overheats again. OEM does mean original equipment manufacturer correct? it's a 2000 2.4 galant btw
Yes thats what OEM means. If its OEM, its a mitsu part, if its from a parts store it can be made by anyone.
