What engine? Give me specifics and I can look it up on alldata
So it's about that time to replace my fuel filter I think. I'm right at 36k miles. I searched online but can't find a single auto parts store that sells a fuel filter for the 9Gs. I also scoured the service manual and there isn't even a mention of a fuel filter in the entire manual. Is the 9G one of the cars that has the fuel filter inside the fuel tank and it requires some ridiculous amount of work by a shop to replace? I wonder if the car even has a fuel filter since it isn't even mentioned in the service manual. Anybody know the deal?

dont you own an 8G? our fuel pump/filter in inside our gastank too.......
As for the 9g fuel pump, if your 04-05 its internal and uses a bottom feed flat rectangular filter.

if your 06-10
then same set up but different pump

I still don't know when I need to change the pump though
don't worry. The filter is located inside of the fuel pump in the tank. His replacement is liable to 90,000 miles together with the pump. Other fuel filters on the 9G no.
Turbo - it is a snail, but the bitch is very fast.
Hello,
My 2004(9th gen) galant has 300K miles. After reading I found that the fuel filter is integrated in the fuel pump. I want to replace the fuel filter and fuel pump.
Is there a guide to replace the fuel pump? The breakdown (Chilton's) is not specific for my 2004 galant.
