Dash lights come on when I depress the brake pedal.

I have a 98 Galant ES, 2.4L - dash lights, radio backlight, cig lighter light and clock numbers come on when I depress the brake pedal. Key does not have to be in and turned for this to happen. Headlight switch is off.

Dude, between this thread and your other one, it sounds like youve got some serious wiring issues. It sounds like someone messed with the wire harness and just put things in random places. I MAY be wrong about this, but thats just how it seems.

Take the bulbs out of the rear lights and see if it it does the same thing w/ them removed. If it works like this then get the right bulbs and make sure they are put in correctly.

mine did that too bec i grounded the cable wrong, but when i fixed it
it worked again....
