I have this weird fetish where I just paint stuff lol my old valve cover was atleast 10 different colors.
here when it was black

Than my random van halen inspired theme...

I was bored.

Black with silver letters is always classy, but when I sold the car I had it the way I wanted, I had shaved all the lettering off my cover, left it completely raw, cleared it, did the same to all the intake piping and some other little accesories and the rest of the bay was black, it was clean and classy!

I'm thinking about getting a second VC to do this to... I'd do the black with the silver letters.

Yeah Ive been looking at mine to do it but the letters are barely raised on the 4cyl, as you can see on the nissan one they are straight cast into it lol.

I say go with it, paint the entire thing black than sand them down with real high grit sand paper till they polish up than hit them with a little compound and they will look great! Just be careful what you choose to sand it seems if you mess up a tiny bit it youll be sanding the cover and not letters lol

Haha yeah i saw that one... What should i paint them with? I saw a tut on here somewhere that said you'd have to bake the VC. 2000 grit?

First post on TGC but i think i may become a frequent poster...
I put on my short ram intake (2 kids keep the funds too low for a full on CAI) and put in a set of ddm raptor 55watt 6000k Hid's in the lows. I love them! I can see everything! And I didn't even have to adjust the reflectors, the ddm kit has a metal shield on the h4 bulbs that cut off the light that would reflect into oncoming traffic while perfectly illuminating all of the signs on the passenger side of the car. Not sure if this was by design but it works out great. Still waiting on my 35watt 6000k fogs. I may need to put a relay harness in for that kit due to the tiny wires on the fogs.

I ordered mine last night from a friend and he was picking them up after I got off work today but this happened on the way to work...

So I got my new tires on after, 215/45 on a 9inch =D

Did an oil change on the galant and washed it.

Installed HID fogs and yellow drls and signed up for a track day @ willow springs on march 11 for the ISF. only 95 bucks!
