I'd just use VHT Niteshades
Has anyone seen these or tried them? I was just browsing Amazon and came across them. Seems it's apparently a pre-cut tint film shaped JUST for the Galant

Seems like it could work. How complicated can it be. Other tints work... this just seems to be cut specifically to shape.
I'd just use VHT Niteshades

From what I've seen of how you apply these, and the shape of our tail lights... I think you'll end up with creases and it won't be done as nice.
I'm going with the VHT night shades and I'll tint mine myself.
But if you do these covers, let us know how it goes and be sure to take pics.
Effort and courage are not enough, without purpose and direction.
Yeah I think you can get a pair for about $100 online. Might even be a good idea to buy a set now and just tint those so that if you ever trade in the car you can swap them back out if you're that worried about it.
But yes, I agree, and that's why I considered the tint film but I'm just not so sure it will work well because of the shape of the light... even with a heat gun.
On the other hand I kinda hope you try the tint film... because if it works and looks good I might reconsider. Check the sellers return policy, maybe they will let you get a refund if it doesn't work well.
