    fuel filling problems

    Hi Guys.

    I'm new to this forum, just stumbled upon it today! I'm based in the UK and had my Galant for 3 years now, its a '98 2.0 GLS Manual.

    I suspect I'm going to find a hell of a lot of very useful info in these posts but I'm going to start with a really stupid question that has bugged me since I got the car...

    Every time I fill up with petrol the petrol pump cuts out all the time. I end up having to twist the pump handle round and fill it really slowly. Is this a fault? and design flaw or I'm I just being useless

    That happens here in the states too.

    If I get a pump that acts like that, I dont stick the nozzle all the way into the tank and it seems to work just fine.
