currently running 18 x 8 +40 F and 18 x 8.5 +35 R. drop on tein basic, one finger gab all around. camber and alightment is corrected to its spec, dont really know the numbers :(

The alignment shop shoudlve have given you a sheet of paper with the info on camber adjustments made...

ok, according to that info, they should fit. compared to what you have (18x8.5 +35) the new wheels will need 12mm more clearance on the inside and will stick out 14mm more as well (about 1/2"). the reason i asked about your suspension setup is that you probably would not clear suspension side if you did not have coilovers AND were camber corrected. for reference i have 19x8.5 +48 w/ TEIN SS-P camber corrected... i have only a few mm clearance on the suspension side in the rear but compared to the new size you want, u will have 1mm more clearance than i have (my rear fenders are cut for clearance as well). i would suggest 225/40r18 front and rear (stretch will help w/ fender clearance).

You can do it if you stretch 225s and run camber. I'm running 17x9 with a 27 offset with 255s and they are much wider than 225s on a 9.5.

Here is a real handy calculator tool. I used it to go with my set up and they fit better than what I was going to do. Glad I used it.

The stock sizes for my 8g were 205 55 16. My stock rim read 16x6 et 45 on the back. So this told me my new setup would be 17mm wider than stock and it was correct.

19x9.5 is money for the rear with 2.5 degrees camber, as wide as a 235/35R19 tire, and slightly radius-ed rear fenders.

The front is a bit more problematic, but with front fender flares, and about 1.5-2 degrees camber should also be money.

The problem will be getting that much camber out of the rear. But, with my megans down about 2.5" all around, I'm sitting at about 2.5 degrees in rear, and 1.5 in front, and its maxed out without a camber kit. I'm not sure if the camber kit will be able to adjust further than 2.5-3 degrees, but technically it should. The kit I would use is SPC (Specialty Products Company), TireRack has them availible.

So, assuming it doesn't limit the negative camber to much just from install you should be able to get a max negative camber of -3.25 degrees. But, truthfully, I'd don't you'd need more than 2.5 degrees. I would roll/radius the rear fenders, and it shouldn't be much issue, especially since you already have fender flares installed.

Here is a picture of a 19x10 +25mm offset, with -2.5 degrees camber, and a 235/35R19 tire size, on my Galant.




That I should mention has literally about 1mm of clearance between the wheel's lip and the rear knuckle. So, using a 19x9.5 +22mm should sit almost identical on the outside, and provide more space away from the rear knuckle. Hopefully that all makes sense.

Heck, on another thought, you could probably run 19x10 +20mm with 3 degrees camber, and 225s, have mild poke, and doublely rolled rear fenders and be good.

Everything I've fitted and measured 'should allow for it with rolled or radius-ed rear fenders. Your 255s are (as you know) quite a bit wider, are you sure even with 225s you'd still need to trim them?
