    does anyone no the codes to unlock the ecu in a 02 galant gtz?or even were i can get one?

    define ecu unlock? because the stock ecu isnt locked

    well my buddy has this tuning software and he needs some code to tune the stock ecu

    u mean he needs the definition file for the stock ecu? he needs to find out what is the ROM ID of the ecu first.

    You need a Tactrix cable for starters, the 1.3 cable may work but many have found issues withthat cable and latest version of EcuFlash. If he has the 2.0 cable even better.

    Once the cable is hooked up, he just needs to "Read" from the ecu in the EcuFlash program, and then get somebody to make a definition file for it. Once you have the definition file, open the ROM file in EcuFlash and begin your tuning...provided you have a wideband O2 hooked up or it is being tuned on a dyno. If it is not being tuned on the dyno, and no wideband is hooked up then don't waste your time even trying to tune anything.

    So besides the wideband you just really need a decent tuner who knows what hes doing. What kinda gains can you see from a decent tune on a v6 with basic bolt ons?
