Good job on the wheels!
So I got a flat the tire of one of my Konig wheels so it came time to put the winter wheels back on a little early. However, I always thought they'd look more interesting painted, so I decided to try it out. Since I wasn't sure what the final product might look like, I decided to stick with something that was reversible.
I cleaned up the wheels and sprayed down a couple layers of white Plasti Dip. For anyone who isn't familiar, its basically a plastic type material that sprays like paint and dries into a rubbery solid. It adhered to the paint on the rims fine, and I can just peel it off whenever I want. I've heard that it can stand up to pressure washing and I'm not too worried about road debris because I can just paint over any spots that come up..
After the Plasti Dip dried, I did a few layers of Duplicolor white wheel paint, and then hit them with a couple layers of clear coat.
This was my first time really doing anything with spray paint, and it wasn't perfect- but hey they're winter wheels! From afar they look fine and you don't really notice the texture from the Plasti Dip unless you're a couple inches away.
Without further ado:
I am very happy with the overall look of the car and I am thinking of having the wheels professionally done in white and selling my Konigs (anyone looking to buy some chrome and black 18's? lol)...
Oh and behind those wheels, another recent upgrade:

looks good, but if you like them and plan to stay that way, I would suggest getting them powder coated
^x2
Not bad for a rattle can though
^ yeah I wasn't dissing the work, I just know that the OP will be happier (hopefully) with the powder coating rather than paint that might and will chip
^Agreed. Also didn't our young wheel whore buy white wheels for his black Fit? Must say something abouth white on black.
Nice! Haven't seen these in white yet!
I like it. A lot.

Love the White on Black. All you see here is black on black. brilliant idea for a test. did you come up with it yourself or is it a tip you picked up somewhere?
