the stock compression on the 7G is 9.5 or 9 to 1
only the gs is 10:1
there have been many who have run 10-12 psi on stock motors and had it last. so don't be scared.
all you have to do is wiring really
97 ES T25 using 1G intercooler and bov. Upgraded tranny cooler ..pre turbo oil cooler.. moved fuse box .. deleted AC ..
Q's. Can I run low boost with stock ecu (6-10psi) ?
Can I move all my intake sensors to the turbo intake?
Can I use the o2 sensor that is on the turbo?
What if I move the o2 sensor into the manifold (exhaust)?
There are 4 lines coming out of the turbo which is which?

Oh and where did you get those visors

I've had the visors forever. I bought them from a member.
And it's the block to worry about with more boost. The 7g and 2g have the same rods I believe.

If you plan to do the dohc headswap you can use your distrubutor,it goes where the 1g cas would go.If you do it this you wont have to worry about wiring for coil packs. Also what is the mileage on the motor?
No the distributor wont fit there quite a long forum on this
The engine is at a quarter mil making it the perfect test dummy motor
It will be boosted before dohc
I can get complete 4G64s for 150 all day
I'm gong with 8psi since kolio said people run 10-12. And go up from there

my rims are rota boosts 17x8 +32 offset
the visors are mde by ventshade
i ould grab the eclipse ecu to have for dohc.
to run sohc turbo all you need is a SAFC or maft translator. i would get a maft translator gen 2 for 250. it can wideband track and is easier to tune. plus you can run blow through. and literally just a 2G downpipe/intercooler/piping
the amout of people who have run stock 7G's with over 10 lbs are alot. the quick names that come to mind are:
MKO, Sleepervr4, qnzmostwanted. there are even like 3-4 people who are still boosted this way on the board. i can't remember thier screen names

Here is where it was proven to work.
https://www.thegalantcenter.org/show...=dohc+headswap
here's where I moved the fuse box to to make room for the top mount intercooler. I Wang the intake cone in the bumper here's the difference between the exhaust flange and the stock downpipe I was thinking I could just weld an adapter

you can't use the stock distributor when you go DOHC. 1g CAS, coil pack and power transistor from a 2g are needed.
good luck fitting a sidemount as we dont have the room. 1g bov is good, any 2g fwd downpipe works.
also a t25 is way too small, even a 14b is too small with the compression we run so it spools so quickly. a t25 isnt called a t too small for no reason.
the top line is feed, bottom drain, 2 sides are coolant.
you will need a 2g turbo oil pan or someone to weld in an AN fitting and a custom made line.

That's why I asked if there were some shorter rods I could use to bring the c/r down
Lookat the pics I made room for the1g intercooler as a top mount I'm Google to modify the hood to direct air through it
Also the wastegate can't control the overspool?
Iwhat if I modify the wastegate to always be partiality open?

it's not to worry about over boost. it will run out of breath after like 4k lol
we do have room for sidemounts, just takes creative working, and awkward angling. i have fitted it before. don't cut holes in the hood to make it look like shit.
no need to cheap it on a downpipe. just get a 2G one. they are under $50.
Downpipe-50
Oil pan-50
Lines oil/coolant- 50
Maft translator gen 2- 250
misc piping for intercooler- 100
boost gauge- 50
thats 550 and you already have the turbo and intercooler. thats a good price for maybe 50-70 added horses if you run 7-8 lbs on stock actuator

the spool up will be insane. you'll see positive pressure around 1.5-2k.
heres an example

stock t25 wastegate is 12-15 psi. it is still less powerfull then a 14b running 10 psi as it is so much smaller. for compression its not shorter rods, it would be dished pistons as the reliefs in them cause for greater room when the air is compressed therefore lowering the compression ratio.
a 14b and front mount and piping would be cheap enough and you need new lines anyway. i personally would go that route.
