Hey guys, i'm planning a trip over there in the later part of the year to watch the formula race. Already paid my fees for the waiting list, and noticed the last couple days the prices have jumped up at least an extra hundred or two for hotels, not to mention most are already booked.

Can you guys recommend a neighboring city which i can get a hotel at a decent price? hopefully looking at a hundred or two? planning to rent a car as well, so i can drive but would prefer not to travel too far...

For down south of town, you probably want to check around Lockhart, Buda, or San Marcos. Those will be a decent drive, but they're all on the south side of town (same as the track).
