Normal? fuel light just below half a tank?

my fuel needle is really off it will show something like this but then i get the light.. i realize the should go after the light..

btw i put 36Liters on it 12 days ago and the needle showed that i had just over a half a tank ive driven about 230-240 km (145Miles) and then the light.. think that's okey consumption... but this is just false hope.

Did you ever took out the needle to change the face of the cluster?

Yeah. Thats the problem. Do this fill the tank full. Then read adjust the needle to the full position.

All you have to do is adjust the needle.

i dont think so because its not "wrong" in that sense it will go all the way down with the light on but it just takes a long time doing so.. it like if the needle is above a half a talk it accurate but when it goes below half a tank it drops down faster..
what are ure guys opinion now? still need to adjust it?

On both my G's, the tank seemed to go faster after the half mark and I never adjusted the gauges for anything at all. Just the way of the world I guess. Readjust you needle to the full mark after a certified fill up, and see if it persists.

Mine normally lights a hair above the line or right on it. One time slightly higher but never even close to the half tank mark.

sometimes the needle itself will touch the sides of your aftermarket gauges which i see you have. Try pulling the needle out just a bit so it clears the gauges, but as stated before its a good idea to just fill up the tank then do this so you know where you needle needs to start off at.

When i painted my needles and changed the lights I must have hit my Fuel needle. Tried calibrating it by filling up and re seating the needle at the top but the gauge has been messed up since. The gauge will not go to completley full when i fill up and it will sit at the very bottom of empty for 50 or so miles before the tank is actually empty. The gas light still turns on at the right time though so thats how i tell when i need to get gas. It took me 2 times actually running out of gas to figure this out though haha. Dont think it will ever be perfect again but its close enough.
