try cleaning the throttle body.
So my dd has developed this stupid stutter/hesitation from a dead stop and it's getting annoying and I simply don't have much time to fix it but now I need to do it before it gets worse.
I don't know where to start so I wanted to see if anyone have pointers. I'm thinking spark plugs then clean the maf
Suggestions??

u don't need to take it off at all, just unclamp the intake coupling. it's actually a super easy job. here:

also, make sure to use throttle body cleaner like this (not to be confused with MAF cleaner) :

I know they are created for a purpose and I wouldn't do it but just wondering what could happen if you use maf cleaner in the tb or viceversa?

that's correct. the MAF is rather fragile and is itself housed in plastic so TB cleaner would basically destroy it, also the chemicals in MAF cleaner are not as effective in cleaning the TB so it would take alot more effort (scrubbing and respraying to get as thouroghly clean) if used on the TB.
So I did it and did the plugs and air filter and oil change all at once.
When I went to start it. It struggled, and idle like ass and then straightened the idle out but now it idles lil higher around 1000-1100 and has a check engine light.

All checks out. And the IAC shouldn't be damaged by the tb cleaner.

^ it's a huge possibility.
I doubt it. IAC is not that sensitive to TB cleaner. I've cleaner many tbs with it before and never had an issue.

I messed up my IAC when I cleaned my throttle body on my eclipse, autozone wanted $250 for a new one and advance auto parts wanted $500 for a new one. I just turned up my idle screw, its ghetto but I didn't want to spend that much. Some good advice is to take out the IAC when cleaning the throttle body because the cleaner fluid pools around the IAC if you leave the IAC in when cleaning.

The point we are trying to make is that while it hasn't happened to you and with your luck probably never will, it has happened to others. It would be a good idea to remove the IAC anyway, not just to avoid the risk but to also clean around where the tip sits. Since there can be deposits there too obstructing.

Check for vacuum leaks
I think the IAC just needed time to readjust. It's idling fine now and the code was p0301 which is cylinder #1 misfire. I cleared it and waiting to see if it comes back
