No problem. You will be happy with the amazingly solid feel. When installing the aluminum bushings, just make sure you try out the feel of it going into each gear before reinstalling the center console. If the shifter base is not perfectly centered, a few gears might feel difficult to engage.

add a short shifter to it and the engagement of each gear is awesome.
theres a huge differance compared to stock

What r good options for short shifters??

Also reading up on the brass bushings for the cables they say that the big one causes it to not freely move.

Any input on this?? Cuz I wanna upgrade very very soon.

I have the ebay ss: http://www.ebay.com/itm/STEEL-NEW-03...ht_1834wt_1037

Comes with the aluminum shifter base bushings. And for the cable bushings I have the brass ones for the speedsource. I've had them since day one and it feels great very smooth.

I did the mod Goosey posted to use the shifter on the shortest setting, the shifter base needs some parts grinded off to clear the cables but that made my shifter like really tall and first gear and reverse felt very notchy, recently when installing the evo shifter bezel I had to put the short shifter on the mildest setting and it feels really awesome smooth and i can shift without any effort.

On the most aggressive setting and the shifter base has spacers under it to make it clear the metal underneath it:

Most recent pic (mildest setting) no spacer underneath solid base bushings:

    Hope that helps ;)

Plenty of good info. That shifter is almost the same one I'm looking at. Is it adjustable?? Cuz the auction doesn't state that anywhere.

As for the cable brass bushings. I read that it causes binding on the bigger one. I guess that's not the case for everyone.

Ill be ordering those soon. Since the car is getting lots of work done to it starting in a couple of weeks.
