i've looked into it and done some thinking. there is a thread on here where a bloke stuck a 2j in a galant, he used a supra front subframe and suspension arms etc, so the engine was mounted to that as per factory and the supra gear welded in to suit the galant. it was a bit agricultural though and could be done a bit more...effeciently
same for the LS, you'd need a front subframe and suspension arms/suprights/swaybars from a north south mounted car. a jap car with an LS conversion kit/ custom everything would be the way to go. that way you can buy say adjustable arms to suit a silvia and adapt an LS engine conversion kit front sikky or similar. strut top mounts from the vr4 would need to be cut and strengthed to suit the new suspenion. this would/could also eliminate the horrible turning circle of vr4's.
frame rails would need to be modded to suit the new subframe.
the tunnel and firewall would need to be modded to suit the new gearbox and shifter.
rear diff and axles would need to be modded / upgraded to suit the new power, you're sending nearly 200% more power through an already fragile rear end.
i'd say its doable, not cheap but damn it'd be good.
