Hmm interesting. Personally if I'm gonna finance it I'd get a newer car or at least a car with low miles, so the 9G seems more like the choice to make, but you may find a clean, low-mileage 8G (I have seen quite a few in my searches online when I get bored) and financing may not be a bad thing with those either, so I guess it could go either way. One thing though, if you do finance, make sure it's a sound car with lower miles, so as to not have to do extensive maintenance while you're paying for it still, and try to get the best financing deal you can, hopefully like $200 - $300 a month for no more than three years since your amount is going to be low.
