How many, if any, differences are there going to be when performing the swap on an '01 V6? It looks pretty straight-forward, and I can't see it being much different, but I should ask before I dive into it, because I really don't want to have a lot of downtime on the only running car in the household.
Edit: Woops, I'm a n00b!
Didn't realize there was a thread just for the V6...

OK so u know how there is extra wires from the a/t can the be removed?besides the two u need to start the car.also if removed can it mess anything up?
STAY READY AND YOU WONT HAVE TO GET READY!!
so im just about done with the swap and im here trying to get the car started. All my wiring on the harness should be correct. But no luck, wont start. So upon further review I seem to have pulled out the cable in the shifter assembly with the cone shaped pin telling the car its in park. I still have it but I cant find where it connects to, anyone have a pic of the other end?
does it try to start?

The cables do nothing as far as preventing the car from starting once manual-swapped since they only control the mechanical functions of the A/T shifter assembly and ignition cylinder. The only thing I can think of is pins 9 and 10 on the solenoid harness since nothing else related is altered during the swap.
