really obvious question, I'm going to guess that this could only be used with a speed density set up with a piggyback, is this correct?

All that's going to do for him is make it impossible to drive on the street. 1000rwhp supercharged drag cars run three throttle bodies like that. An appropriately sized single plate would suit him better, it's not going to flow more air if the engine is satisfied.

The links work for now. I saved them to my computer, I'll upload to youtube if they stop working. Looks crazy! Wretched excess, gotta love it.

I really don't know the details it was unveiled yesterday on that video

I'll update on monday or tuesday since the car is making its debut with this setup in a drag strip match against a also high powered honda civic hatch named "La Rabiosa"

It was running 11's and putting down 330whp with a single 90mm TB so we'll see with this setup

All motor LS blocks make 600 at the wheels on the 90mm. What a joke.

That said, someday a big block mirage might have to happen.

They appear to be fond of "Silvertune Blue"

What kind of comparison is that?

A big block mirage would be interesting...

I think he is referring to chevy big blocks and that would be interesting, 6g74 and 75 have been done already

He's talking about personally building a 6G75 Mirage, I strongly believe. It's a project he has mentioned a few times.

Yes... Big block Mitsubishi refers to the 6g74 and 6g75, because they are the big block V6's...

And it is a noteworthy comparison because muscle cars can pull 650hp worth of air through one 90mm throttle body. The 3.8 was making maybe 400 crank... it has a lot of breathing work to be done before an upgrade and all but making a door out of the back of the plenum isn't going to do it.

So the car made 10.6 132mph and 10.5 133mph and won a couple of passes against "La Rabiosa" which is a Turbo 1.6 Civic Hatch with around 600hp

Nice! Even though the 8G is heavier, it's pretty damn sweet to see a N/A 6G75 push into the 10's regardless of what Mitsu it's in. I want to see video of this thing in the 10's when they release it.

I'd just like to know how they get MIVEC running with the Montero ECU's.

I'm sure that one is but they're run mostly with Montero ECU's according to a couple guys I've talked to. None of them knew exactly how the wiring worked with Mivec however.

At the moment there's not a single video yet with a clear view of the times, as soon as there is I'll post it.

And about the MIVEC SPD_FRK posted on GT that you can control it with our ecu, you use the EGR wiring and pin to control the oil control valve and then find and define the EGR table on your rom, I don't know if this is how the mirages do it.

Yes I am well aware of the EGR. Like every single thing spd frk ever attempted however he never actually proved it worked and based on his extreme level of failure I'm not about to drop 2k on a swap based on his word.

Someday perhaps. The MIVEC motors could use a set of cams just as much as the non mivec motors could. Both are spendy so your starting point is not as important. That said a MIVEC with a 264 base profile would be pretty effective in the output department.
