input and output shaft speed sensor

Hi guys, is there a way to test the input and output shaft speed sensor? My automatic transmission goes into fail safe mode.

If the code you get is for those sensors then they're done

so there is no way testing the sensors, my speedometer is not working and the neutral light on the dash is blinking while on drive.

Not really. Unless you put them in a Galant with known good sensors and has no issues but with the suspect sensors it acts up. Also if the speedometer isn't working you will be looking at the VSS (vehicle speed sensor) which is at the back of the transmission closer to the passenger side axle.
