No! Do not use washers as spacers!
So i have come to a dilemma and since i put on the front calipers from the EVO8, i've had to use spacers for my rims. my rims are 17x7.5 XXR527 offset +35. makes my front wheels stick out farther than my rear ones. So i've found some XXR 531 in silver and they fit. XXR531 17x8 offset +25...they literally will clear if i use 1mm or 2 mm washers as the spacers.
Is it safe to use washers as a spacers?
what ya guys think?
No! Do not use washers as spacers!
Ok gotcha...just wanted to make sure...guess im stuck with these wheels lol...unless if i get, some enkeis or evo 8 rims...imma check around the forums
Those wheels aren't worth investing any more money into them. Sell to some dork on craigslist and run away, fast.
And no, no washers as spacers.
got any pics with the 527 and spacers?
Buy a 2mm spacer on ebay or a 5mm at a auto part store and install them on all 4 so it's even and call it a day

Nice wheels!!
Ok heres the thing...i have these xxr527 17x7.5 or 17x8 don't remember. offset is +35. That offset didn't work even with the 5mm spacers...so when i did the brembo swap i had to grind down 2mm off the edge of the caliper. Then those rims worked lol...problem was mainly because those were the rims that came with the car cause i inherited it from my parents cause my brother didn't want it and i needed a car lol
FACEPALM INDEED...well actually wasn't me that did it, it was my dad, i had gone to the bathroom when i started to hear the grinder, he likes to jimmy rig things, and he wanted to go home and leave me at the shop and at the moment it was a saturday night at 9pm with no other parts stores around and i had to get home cause i live by knotts berry farm and he lives the opposite direction 40 miles away. oh yeah, its our family business so yeah, if ya ever in town stop on by lol
That's One reason Why I Would Never Go With brembo Breaks
