The day I got the manual transmission, same day my nephew was born; you know which one I enjoyed the most.
Matching the intake manifold and valve covers
A drill with a with a soft wire brush does very nice, then sprayed it with some rust proofer then wiped clean, make sure you test the wire brush first, you do not want a hard wire brush, you'll put gashes in the metal.
Exedy Throw Out Bearing - annoying loud after 1000 miles
Old Intake, AEM SRI

Thanks, can't wait to see yours with some coilovers.
I like the flywheel and clutch/pressure plate a lot, the flywheel revs up quick when rev matching through the gears and I have no problem getting down into first. I think the trans fluid helps too. My Eclipse is stock and I can only get into first if the damn thing is stopped. The clutch and flywheel is night and day difference between my Galant and Eclipse. In the Galant the clutch engages closer to the floor, which I love and is easier to drive, my Eclipse engages towards the pedal being closer in the resting position which makes me hate driving it now, such a long throw with my leg.
I have to solder an O2 sensor thursday because the I fried one and I can tell the ECU doesn't know how much fuel to add at certain points. Then I will get some good videos, I have a gopro hero3 black that I'm dying to use, already made some camera jibs with PVC and suction cups. Having no muffler is pretty loud, I'll probably put a muffler on it but after I get some good video of me ripping through the gears.
One day I'll drive it to MOD so you can beat on it, I know the car probably frustrated you as much as it did me and I did all the work, lol
Thanks, I have a lot to learn, loving your Galant build, love the video you have of your car pulling away from a SC Cobalt SS.
Thanks, my Grandma thinks so

that clean. you should use your blinkers!!!!! LMBO
i like the fact that i see no snow in florida :D #Floridabound
Thanks, no one else understands my Galant love except TGC. I'm pretty much done with the car for now until I pay off my student loans (hopefully three years), before then I'll port the lower IM and upper IM, install my ported and rebuild 6g74 TB, Tune lightly, and install a muffler. Once loans are paid off I'll just rebuild the 6g72, LSD, and turbo. I want to do the 6g75 swap but I'll buy another 8G to do that.
The GoPro HD Hero 3 White Edition is $199 normally, wait till it goes on sale, the Silver Edition is $299, the Black Edition just went down to $329ish, they just released the Black 3+ which is $399, GoPro made the Hero 3 with a too small of battery so you have to put a small amount of paper in the battery compartment to keep it from bouncing around, it makes a constant “pop” noise if you don't.
I used to use my blinkers all the time but I moved to Miami for 4 years and you ain't got time for that. I agree with you, I should, dang Miami.
Also I thought you posted a pic of your car in my build thread, but that's your GIANT SIG PIC!

I went to the 1/4 mile drag strip, best run was a 15.3 and I still didn't have a perfect run that time. P0300 keeps poping up. I kept forgeting to turn the camera or I left it on for a couple of runs and I don't know how to edit video. Out of the few I recorded here is the best one I could find to upload.

What have you done to combat the PO300? Who set you up with the tune? If you can get tuning capabilities I can set you up with a great 6g72 base map.
Try preloading the launch a little bit next time. Urethane FLCA bushings go a LONG way on the strip also. 2.0 60' is possible without an LSD. With bolt ons and a tune you should be in the high 14's all day long.
