Car won't start. Help.

Help car won't start.

Went out to start it so I can go work. Walked back inside the house for a second. I heard it stutter and fall on its face. Tried again and again. Same thing happened. Now it won't even start at all. Looks like I'm not going to work. But I need to fix it.

Not sure where to start looking. Any thoughts??

Did it sound alright when it was running or was it running rough?

Sounds almost like a fuel pump to me or clogged fuel filter in the tank. When a pump goes bad, it will usually run good up until it doesn't run at all. One case I was able to get the car to idle for a few seconds but when I touched the gas pedal it died.

If it was sounding rough, might be a coil pack (I assume 2.4L). My gf's outlander had a coil pack go bad, so I swapped one of my "change because maintenance" coil pack's I kept in case. Runs great now, but was trying to run on 2 cylinders before.

Fixed. It was a bad fuel pump.
