Need help choosing rims and tires!

I found two sets of rims on craigslist that im really feelin, i just dont know shit about fitment. Currently on the stock 15's

Would these fit my 8g galant? Would they make the fender gap look bigger?

    personally i like the MB's.

the other ones would work well for you as well [looks like you have a color scheme going along? i dont know if thats intentional or not haha]. not sure of the brand or size though. might want to message them about that? based on the price i want to say they're rotas? i paid 200 for mines when i had them.

the MBs are 17x7 so it shouldnt be a problem at all.
if the others are rotas, i'd imagine they're 17x8 w/ a +35 offset [dont quote me on that one though]

looking at the tire/wheel sizing thread:
Original: 195/65-15 (24.98") **Original DE & ES sizing**
Original: 205/55-16 (24.87") **Original ES V6, LS, and GTZ sizing**
Plus Two: 225/45-17 (24.97") **Recommended upsize fitment

so just looking at that, your fender gap will be either the same or just a BIT smaller/bigger. not too
    much though.

please someone confirm this is correct for me? i don't wanna be giving you false info

The MBs would fit like a stock 17 inch wheel from eclipse, they look pretty good. I'd go witj either set. Depends on you and what look you're after.

The second add does not specify bolt pattern, so make sure it's 5x114.3 which is the same as 5x4.5" as 17x7"s or 17x8"s they will fit fine, if the offset is +35on a 17x8" I have fit 245/40/17s all the way around, for a 17x7 the max I would do is a 235. It depends also on how low you are as to any issues with fender clearance, if you want it to handle the wider the better at this point. If you want to go low a narrower tire will yield more clearance, however you can protect the wheels lip with the sidewall of the tire a little. This is nice if you have to park along taller curbs.

Would 235/35/r17 all around fit properly ?
Im looking for that low profile look.

On a 17x8 they would be stretched a little on a 17x7 they would be a touch wide.

    lol.

I ran 17x8 BBS RG-R on my old 8g. I don't think they rubbed when I used them with 225/45/17 Michelin Pilot Sports.

That was 4-5 years ago though, so I have no idea if my memory is accurate.

Depends on tire size. As Blue8G said, with 225/45R17s it isn't likely, but different manfacturer tires run slightly different in actual sizing (even if they are all 225/45R17s).
