I don't think they actually stretch the metal, they cut the wheel in half and weld in a new section to widen it. There is company nearby called Stockton Wheel that has been doing it for years. You could probably find them on the web.
Has anyone heard of this? It's supposed to be a procedure to widen your rims a bit to fit wider tires. I can't see how this could possibly be safe though...you're stretching metal. But it sure would be nice.
