    radiator problem

so about 2 months ago i replaced my radiator in my 01 gtz because it had a crack in the top of it. but then the other day i noticed some smoke coming out the right side of my hood. so i pop the hood and my overflow tank for my radiator is boiling and the smoke was the steam coming from it. also i just have water in it right now. but my car has not overheated yet and i drive it 15mins on the highway dayley. i can see the gage go up over half then it drops back down like normal.

For one there's air in the cooling system and two it makes sense that it boils off since its straight water.

Or the radiator cap is broken or bad allowing water to pass to overflow.

Or it can also be thermostat stuck close and creating to much pressure and pushing cap open and goin to over flow.

When it does tht again touch top and bottom radiator hoses are different tempetures then thermostat is bad if feels about same temp. Thermostat good..

    Hope it helps
