It took me the better part of a day to cut and sand down all the fins using a dremel with cut off wheel and angle grinding attachment.
My main reason for it being so long is because the plastic kept melting as i cut it with the dremel but it got the job done.
Also had to sand the whole thing down when i was done because the chrome plating kept flaking off so it just made it easier to sand and paint the whole thing.
I like it. Think that will look good!

How are you painting the grill? Paint marker? and how much of the grill if any do you want to keep chrome?
Your off to a good start from the looks of your pics but if your painting the whole grill assembly and want to keep
the mesh the way it is paint it with out it in so you can just use spray paint or use a paint gun.
Ah makes sense now well if that's the case some paint thinner and a clean rag are your best friend to help start over and get it the desired effect that your looking for.
Ah i can see where that would be a problem. Hope you're able to get it the way you imagined
Looks good, i like how you were able to keep the chrome.
You'd probably have to take the bumper off and trim the bumper so the mesh fits flush. I'd def do it to the lower middle part, not sure of the fogs. Look through xd_01 thread, he trimmed the bumper and add mesh flush to the bumper.
