Brake recommendations

So, it is time for brakes in my '11 Daily Driver

Browsing rockauto for parts. I can go with the el-cheapos for ~$15/rotor ($60) and ~$10/pads ($20) walk away with a complete job for roughly $80 +shipping

I can also pony up for the high preformance ones at roughly $250 which are powerstop brand, drilled slotted and zinc plated. with z26 pads. For these are purely for novelty.

This is my grocery getting car, bone stock nothing more. While I want some sort of reasoning to buy the nice novelty brakes, I try to be frugal. Then I also don't want to risk safety by being too cheap.

What can you all recommend?

Get the plain jane rotors and some decent pads.

Spend a little more and get Akebono or EBC. Good stopping power and product less dust.
