whats your power level again? you sir are living my worst nightmare. Im seriously considering turning the car down to keep it from breaking things it shouldnt be breaking. (Especially since I just bought another project car)
The rest of the car is spot on like always though.
Dogbox? I wish something was available Ide be on it so quick. I brought the car to the dyno 2 1/2 weeks ago and made 440tq/ 434 hp peak at 6100rpm
Those are some serious numbers.

Thanks^^
yes on the Evo trans, it so expensive though lol. For now Im fixing what I got plus having the gear set REM coated and looking into a trans cooler, possibly turn down the power too. Its the quickest fix for the time frame I have.
I have about 14 track days on the tranny since the last repair and this happened almost exactly a year ago. Don't know what else to do, maybe get a tranny rebuild every off season lol! I guess for now well see how this goes, I might have to go with Evo trans in the end but Im not looking forward to that project or the price tag.
Have you looked into getting the tranny rebuilt by Jack or Shep??

You can pick up an evo tranny for a decent price. I think I had 2 options when I purchased mine, 04 evo 8 transmission that needed to be rebuild was like 350 or something, or an evo 9 tranny 30k miles for 1k. I took the Evo 9 tranny. There are deals out there, just gotta watch out for them I guess
Short clip of the failure:(

aw man it happens so quick too, pulling one minute and boom nothing the next. I know youll get her back up on her feet as soon as possible but i think its definitely time for a better trans
Ok so Ill continue on with the winter projects, heres the rest of the oil cooler re-lo. Ill try to let the ppics speak for themselves but in a nut shell a mocked up the location, cut some templates out of cardboard, cut and bend some aluminum brackets.
Harbor Freight metal brake
some more bending
that's pretty much that project, I never took pictures of it done for some reason but next time I have the crash bar off I will.
My bad I did find some finished pics
Later on I put some fire sleeve and gold reflective tape on the oil pan.
I also went to a AIM sports seminar to learn about beginner data analysis, surprising enough it was easy to understand even for a guy that got left back in 12th grade,,, yea Im talking about me.
After the class I bought one of these, its a GPS lap timer that records all sorts of helpful data
The data looks something like this, this one isn't my own but once I figure out how to copy it Ill share it. Its actually so interesting how you can look at these data traces and make cense of them while seeing where you can improve.
I also finally changed my front sway bar to a RMDSM bar Ive had laying around for years, it was a pain in the ass to install.
I had to drop the LCA's and the triangle stiffener plates to angle out the old bar
in this pic I had to move the jackstand out the way for the bar to clear in the weird angle it was exiting the subframe. I just supported the car with the pump jack and moved the stand while the bar made its way out.
old
New
only 1mm difference

That's pretty much all I did but in the midst of all that I built some things for the garage, one of them was a work bench. I got tired of working hunched over a piece of press board laying on top of a Rubbermaid garbage can so I stopped all the projects and built a second work bench since now I have more room. Its 2'x5' perfect size for everything Ive done so far.
This is what I was working on.
I said EF that so I built this on locking casters that flip up and down the bench is actually on its own wait when stationary.
I painted it the same color as the garage so everything is all match-e match-e but since then already burnt it welding and cut into the end of it with a circular saw.
So I think Im caught up now with the winter projects.
